Global_Trends_LThere is no question that today’s organizations face a business environment characterized by increasingly complex and rapid changes. At the same time, economies are becoming increasingly globalized. These two developments mean that events—economic, political, or cultural—can trigger major shifts within and across organizations, localities, countries, and global regions. The impact may be completely different on each of the two groups, such as when jobs moveacross borders.Talent development professionals build the knowledge, skills, and abilities of others and help them develop and achieve their potential so that the organizations they work for can succeed (Bingham 2014). They have the daunting task of ensuring that their organizations’ workforces have the skills necessary to perform in this environment. One key tool that aids in carrying out this task is international benchmarking data on the activities of organizational talent development functions. To this end, ATD embarked on its first truly global assessment of talent development outlooks, resources, and practices. The findings from this research are presented in Global Trends in Talent Development. [click here to view the white paper][click here to view the infographic]
